| The High Energy Theory Groups at Argonne National Laboratory (ANL) and University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) have an opening at the postdoctoral level beginning in the fall of 2010. This position is a joint appointment and successful candidates would be expected to spend roughly equal time at ANL and UIC. We would be grateful if you would make the positions known to qualified candidates.
Theory staff members at ANL are Ed Berger, Geoff Bodwin, Ian Low, Carlos Wagner, and Cosmas Zachos. At UIC the faculty members are Henrik Aratyn, Tom Imbo, Wai-Yee Keung and Misha Stephanov. The research interests of both groups cover a wide range of theory and phenomenology.
A postdoctoral appointment is normally for two years, with the possibility of a third year.
Candidates are invited to submit their applications online through ACADEMIC-JOBS-ONLINE, including the usual biographical data, a statement of research interests, and a list of publications. Or, if they are unable to use ACADEMIC-JOBS-ONLINE, their applications can be sent to

Candidates should also ask three scientists to forward letters on their behalf. Although there is no deadline, it is strongly encouraged that applications be sent as early as possible, either electronically or by hard copy. Applicants for this joint position will also be considered for a possible full-time postdoctoral position with the ANL theory group. Only one set of application materials need be submitted.
Please direct further questions for the joint position to either Carlos Wagner or Wai-Yee Keung . |
