The Boston University Department of Biology invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Neurobiology starting in Fall 2024. We seek a colleague in the broad area of neuroethology using integrative approaches to understand the neural mechanisms of brain and behavior, with a particular interest in diverse model organisms and complex behaviors in natural environments. Candidates who uses cutting-edge tools that span functional levels from cellular and molecular analyses to circuits and behavior in ethological contexts are especially encouraged to apply. This position will synergize with research groups in Biology using both systems-scale analyses of nervous system function and cellular and molecular methods. Responsibilities will include growing a vibrant research program with extramural funding, teaching at the graduate and/or undergraduate levels, and participating in training of graduate students. The successful candidate will join a strong and collaborative interdisciplinary Neuroscience research community that includes expertise in Neurophotonics, computational approaches, and systems biology.
