| The Neutrino Physics and Particle Astrophysics Group at Boston University is seeking applicants for a postdoctoral associate in experimental particle physics. The successful candidate will help develop a
proposal for a new generation long baseline neutrino experiment from Fermilab to the Deep Underground
Science and Engineering Laboratory (DUSEL) that is being constructed in South Dakota. This experiment
will be based on a massive water Cherenkov detector, and in addition to searching for CP violation it will
have outstanding capability for proton decay, supernova burst, and other physics.
In addition to developing the proposal for this future work, the postdoctoral associate will join one of
our existing experiments, Super-Kamiokande, T2K, or MiniCLEAN for approximately one-half of their
effort. Expertise in detector simulation, particle physics software, data analysis, and electronic
instrumentation of detectors will be advantageous. |
