The Theater Arts Department at Brandeis University invites applications for a tenure-track position in African American Theater and Performance at the rank of Assistant Professor. This position will start in the Fall 2023. We seek a candidate who will teach courses in their primary expertise in African American Theater and Performance. Qualifications: PhD preferred; however, candidates with an MFA degree are welcome to apply. Candidates with some background in an aspect of the professional theater are of interest. Please submit: A letter of interest, CV, up to two samples of scholarly work and creative samples, and contact information for three references should be submitted to https://academicjobsonline.org/ajo/jobs/22913. We encourage applicants to address in their cover letter how their research, teaching and/or mentoring will promote the values of diversity, equity and inclusion inside and outside the classroom.
