| Notice: Consideration of applications will continue until position(s) are filled or through June 30, 2010. The Division of Physics, Mathematics and Astronomy at Caltech invites applications for tenure-track professorial positions in experimental and theoretical physics. We are interested in applications in neutrino physics (both non-accelerator and accelerator-based) and dark matter detection, along with other fields within non-collider particle and nuclear physics, as part of our broad search for qualified candidates in all areas of physics. We are primarily interested in candidates at the untenured assistant professor or associate professor ranks, but will consider applications for tenured professorial positions for exceptional cases. The initial term of appointment for an untenured position is normally four years and appointment is contingent upon completion of the Ph.D. degree. We are seeking highly qualified candidates committed to a career in research and teaching. Applications should include a curriculum vitae, a list of papers published and submitted (with refereed papers indicated), and a brief essay describing the applicant's current research interests and the program of research they propose to carry out at Caltech. Applicants are also requested to have at least three letters of reference submitted online at http://www.pma.caltech.edu/physics-search/ref ; the names and email addresses of the referees should be included in the application.
Please apply online at http://www.pma.caltech.edu/physics-search . Consideration of applications will continue until position(s) are filled or through June 30, 2010. Inquiries regarding the application process may be sent to joann@caltech.edu.
