Are you interested in developing youth into the leaders of tomorrow?  Cornell Cooperative Extension (CCE) is seeking a 4-H Health, Wellness and Food Systems Specialist to join a dynamic and collaborative State 4-H team in the Bronfenbrenner Center for Translational Research (BCTR) in the College of Human Ecology.  This individual will support the development and implementation of 4-H programming in the areas of agriculture and food systems, including hunger and food insecurity.  They will also support educational programming in CCE that helps youth understand the connections between agriculture and food systems, health and wellness, community sustainability, equity and social justice, and supports community engagement and exploration of career pathways.  For more information on the State 4-H Program, see:  4-H Youth Development.  For the full job description, click here.

The position is a full-time, benefits-eligible, non-tenure track academic professional, with an expected start date in the Spring, 2020.  Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.  Cornell University provides a generous benefits package, including vacation, health and personal leave, educational benefits, group health, dental, vision and life insurance, and access to the NY State Retirement System.

Our ideal candidate will have a Master’s degree in a field related to food systems, agriculture, health/nutrition, youth development, human development, science, education, communications, or other related field, with a minimum of three years relevant experience.  Experience working with diverse youth as program collaborators and engaging youth in community service and leadership roles is helpful.  Experience with program design and implementation, grant writing and budget development and management are helpful.
