The Department of Romance Studies at Cornell University seeks to hire a lecturer/senior lecturer (rank will depend on experience) to teach all levels of French language, beginning July 1, 2020. This is a half-time renewable appointment contingent upon a successful review. The teaching load is three courses per year (2 Fall, 1 Spring) of elementary through advanced language courses. Candidates should hold a minimum of an MA in French or a Master of Education in Second Language Acquisition. Preference will be given to candidates with evidence of language teaching at the university level. Those with knowledge of Francophone culture are encouraged to apply. English proficiency and French native-equivalent fluency is required.
