Position Description:

The chief objective of this position is to support, coordinate and conduct research in impact biomechanics in the Bass laboratory in the Biomedical Engineering Department at Duke University. Desirable areas of experience include:

- Impact biomechanics of the human spine - Spinal testing - Structural finite element modeling

Familiarity with data acquisition, signal processing and data analysis techniques is also highly desirable. The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in biomedical engineering or a closely related discipline with 5 years experience in biomechanics and will develop, maintain and manage laboratory research projects and programs developing additional externally-funded research projects in collaboration with Dr. Cameron Bass. Clear evidence of potential for research and a commitment to continuing intellectual growth through scholarly research projects and peer reviewed publications should be demonstrated
