| The Condensed Matter Theory group of the Department of Physics at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), seek applications for the newly established Simons Postdoctoral Fellowship beginning in Fall 2010. The candidate must have received or plans to receive a Ph.D. in the 2009 - 2010 academic year and not earlier. The Simons Postdoctoral Fellow will be appointed for three years and will have a $7000 research budget per year for travel and other research purposes. The Condensed Matter Theory group at MIT consists of Professors John Joannopoulos, Mehran Kardar, Patrick Lee, Leonid Levitov, T. Senthil, Marin Soljacic and Xiao-Gang Wen and conducts research on broad aspects of modern condensed matter theory.
