The History Department at Macalester College invites applications for a full-time, temporary appointment (5 courses in total: 2 in the fall, 3 in the spring) in Indigenous history to begin Fall 2022. The appointment may be made at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor. Ph.D. required by the time of appointment. Preference for candidates who can teach themes in Indigenous history across a broad chronology. Possible areas of specialization could include languages and cultures, migration and society, military conflicts in comparative contexts, heritage tourism and material cultures, as well as traditions of social and cultural activism.
