Position Description:    

The Department of Geography and Environment at Mount Allison University is a dynamic, undergraduate-focused department supporting degrees in Geography (BA), Environmental Studies (BA), and Environmental Science (BSc). The Department invites applications for a full-time nine (9)-month sessional position at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant Professor to teach specifically in the areas of Human Geography. The successful candidate must hold a Ph.D. in Geography or a complementary discipline, although candidates very near completion of their doctoral degrees will be considered. The successful candidate will be required to teach FIVE courses in the undergraduate program including the The Human Environment, Research Methods in Human Geography & the Environment, and three additional courses selected from among options in urban, economic, development and transportation geography. The anticipated start date for the position is August 1, 2024 and is subject to budgetary approval.
