The Center for Quantum Mathematics and Physics (QMAP) at UC Davis seeks exceptional candidates for postdoctoral positions in theoretical high-energy physics.
QMAP bridges the Physics and Mathematics departments. It is devoted to the study of fundamental physics, broadly in the areas of quantum field theory, string theory, and gravity, as well the study of mathematical structures that govern these areas.
In particular, would like to solicit applications from candidates interested in holography, scattering amplitudes, quantum field theory, string theory, and dualities. The members of QMAP interested in these topics are Veronika Hubeny, Mukund Rangamani, and Jaroslav Trnka.
Postdoctoral positions would begin in Fall 2024 and last two years, with the possibility of renewal for a third year given satisfactory performance. Postdocs will direct the course of their research. There are no formal teaching responsibilities.
Applicants should include their CV, publication list, statement of research interests, and at least three letters of recommendation.
Attention: The deadline for applications is Dec. 10, 2023.
