Assistant Professor, Chemistry

Position Description: Benedictine University at Mesa is seeking a full-time faculty member in Chemistry, in support of our new undergraduate program in allied health sciences, our undergraduate program in nutrition, and our core curricular science requirements.  Teaching is the primary focus of the position. Specific responsibilities will include:

             Teaching undergraduate courses, including labs. Teaching responsibilities may include general chemistry, organic chemistry, and/or biochemistry.

             Maintaining chemistry laboratory facilities.

             Academic advising.

             Managing adjunct faculty.

             Assisting the undergraduate division chair in the implementation of the curriculum of study.

             Participating in faculty meetings and University service.

             Engaging in research and scholarship. Involving undergraduate students in research is strongly encouraged.

 

Qualifications: Candidates should have a PhD in chemistry.  Significant experience in post-secondary teaching is strongly desired. Applicants must have legal authority to work in the United States at the time of appointment.  Benedictine University at Mesa will not sponsor work visa applications.
