The Department of Population Health Sciences at Duke University invites applications and nominations for a regular rank faculty position in Epidemiology. The candidate will have an active research portfolio and a strong track record of work in translational epidemiology and dedication to teaching. Population Health Sciences is a newly formed non-clinical department in the Duke University School of Medicine that houses approximately 35 faculty members who conduct research in the fields of epidemiology, health services research, health measurement and implementation science. Faculty collaborate closely with clinical departments and institutes across the School of Medicine and University.

Requirements: •A doctoral degree in epidemiology or related discipline. •Demonstrated ability to conduct scholarly research •Experience mentoring pre- and post-doctoral students and teaching at the graduate level. •Highly self-motivated individual, enthusiastic about scientific discovery and able to collaborate closely and effectively with other members of a research team •Demonstrated ability or potential to secure external funding •Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and oral)
