Position Description:    

Mount Allison University invites applications for a full-time nine-month sessional appointment in the interdisciplinary areas of Environmental and Biological Sciences. The appointment will be made at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant Professor and will commence on August 1, 2018, subject to budgetary approval. Candidates are required to have a PhD in a field related to ecosystem science, with expertise in some combination of marine science, field ecology, invertebrate biology and/or biogeochemistry. The candidate should be able to demonstrate excellence in teaching and have an appreciation for undergraduate teaching and learning.

The successful candidate will teach two 3rd or 4th year courses during each of the fall and winter terms, and will contribute to the activities of the Departments of Biology and Geography and Environment. Course selection will depend on the candidate's expertise and departmental needs, but will likely be drawn from the areas of expertise listed above. Students are primarily drawn from the Biology and Environmental Sciences programs.
