 Assistant Professor of Music

The Department of Music at Benedictine University, a Catholic liberal arts institution near Chicago, seeks candidates for a full-time tenure track position as Assistant Professor of Music beginning Fall 2018. 

Responsibilities include: teach undergraduate Concert Choir; Vocal Methods; Applied Voice; Aural Skills; and/or other courses according to expertise. Candidates must have a Doctorate, or ABD Choral Conducting by Fall 2018.  Three years of undergraduate level choral conducting, a research agenda and the potential to continue professional developments, and advanced piano performance skills required. We seek candidates with the demonstrated potential to contribute effectively to a faculty team dedicated to creating a position, dynamic, and inclusive learning environment for an increasingly diverse student population.
