The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy invites applications for a faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor - Practice to teach in both the Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences (BSPS) and Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) programs. The candidate will join the Pharmacy Practice and Science Division and work with a highly collaborative team of faculty to instruct undergraduate and professional pharmacy students. The successful applicant will develop, teach, and direct an interdisciplinary course and workshop series, ensuring the integration of basic science and clinical content. The successful applicant will also help to expand the College’s undergraduate course offerings by developing and teaching a new General Education (GE) course. Candidates must demonstrate exceptional communication skills and a strong commitment to active learning pedagogy and student-centered, integrated learning.

90% of position – Instructional activities. Facilitate workshops in PHR7603 and 7604; direct and instruct PHR4010. Teach 2-3 sections of PHR3420, Generation Rx: America’s Drug-Taking Culture or comparable undergraduate course to be developed in the candidate’s area of interest.

5% of position – Service. Service on appropriate College committees as needed.

5% of position – Scholarship of teaching and learning. Develop, assess, and publish educational findings.

Salary range for this position is $93,000 - $110,000.

Required Experience: Applicants must hold a Doctor of Pharmacy degree or equivalent, PGY-1 residency training or equivalent practice experience, and pharmacist licensure or eligibility for licensure in Ohio.

Desired Experience: Ideal candidates will have 2 or more years of pharmacy practice experience and significant teaching experience. Familiarity with active learning strategies and educational technology in the classroom is highly desirable.
