The Meyer lab in the Departments of Biochemistry and Neurobiology at Duke University is currently seeking highly motivated postdoctoral associates who are interested in RNA biology and neuroscience. Studies in the lab are focused on how the epitranscriptome shapes gene expression and in understanding the role of mRNA methylation in nervous system function. We currently have 2 open postdoctoral positions, one to explore the role of the m6A modification in mediating local gene expression changes at the synapse that underlie addiction, and the other to investigate regulatory pathways that control m6A function during learning and memory. Individuals with experience in molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics, or neurobiology are especially encouraged to apply.
