Position Description:    

The Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME) in the Pratt School of Engineering at Duke University invites applications for a non-tenure track assistant research professor position. Duke BME is a highly ranked department in the country with a diverse research portfolio. Applications are particularly invited from candidates who will develop highly impactful basic and translational research in the areas of colon cancer, the gastrointestinal (GI) tract, epigenetics, and in vivo imaging. Selected candidate will work under the supervision of Dr. Xiling Shen, an associate professor in the department and in the Center for Genomics and Computational Biology, and plays a role in managing his projects. Candidates are expected to have a doctoral degree in biology or medicine related fields and have relevant postdoctoral experience with skills in molecular biology, genetics, tissue and animal models. Additional expertise in imaging, epigenetics, genome editing or project/grant management will be helpful but not required.
