Wake Forest University’s Department of Sociology seeks applicants for a tenure-track position at the assistant professor level beginning July 2019.

We seek highly qualified candidates committed to excellence in both research and teaching in the sociology of race and/or global inequality. Special consideration will be given to candidates who can contribute to the department’s concentrations in Health and Well-being, Crime and Criminal Justice, or Business and Society.

A complete application will include a cover letter with a paragraph explaining the candidate’s commitment to and work toward equity and diversity, curriculum vitae, teaching statement and quantitative summaries of teaching evaluations, 2-3 writing samples, and 3 confidential letters of recommendation.
