The Department of Political Science at Duke University invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in the field of political institutions to begin July 1, 2019. The position is open with respect to institutional focus, including in American and comparative politics. We are particularly interested in candidates whose work provides opportunities for productive synergies. We also value strong theoretical and empirical skills, including the ability to contribute to our graduate methods sequence. Candidates should have potential for excellence in teaching and research at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Successful candidates will be expected to have completed the Ph.D. no later than July 1, 2019.
