The Marsh Lab at Duke University seeks a motivated postdoctoral scholar for a position that is partially funded through grants by the National Institute of Aging and the Office of Naval Research.

We seek applicants with a track record of publications in memory research; the ideal candidate will also have expertise in aging, categorization, and/or object identification. We seek someone who has shown success juggling multiple projects and making connections across research areas. Expected skills include: programming, MTurk data collection, data analysis. Machine learning knowledge is desirable but not required.

Responsibilities will include collaborating on the development of research questions, stimuli creation, programming experiments, data collection and analysis, manuscript and grant preparation, IRB submissions, and the supervision of students and research assistants. We seek someone who can take on a leadership role in the lab and handle minor administrative duties as needed.

This position will provide the opportunity to interact with scientists across Duke, including a rich community of memory researchers, a large cognitive neuroscience community, and machine learning experts. This position has full benefits and salary will be determined based on current NIH scales. The initial appointment will be for one year, with renewal based on continuation of grant support and success in the position.
