Postdoctoral Associate Position in Biostatistics and Bioinformatics

Duke University has a postdoctoral associate position in the Department of Biostatistics & Bioinformatics (https://biostat.duke.edu/) within School of Medicine. It is located in Durham, North Carolina.

Position Description: The overall goal of this position funded by NIH projects is to develop a rich class of dynamic prediction models for personalized prediction of future outcome trajectories and risks of target events, using a wide variety of data, including clinical, wearable devices, neuroimaging, and omics data from electronic health record, registry, and research initiatives. The application areas include neurological diseases, cardiovascular diseases, and radiology. The appointment is 2-3 years and is subject to annual renewal based on performance and funding availability. The position has 50-75% protected time for methodological research and 25-50% time on the collaborative research. The scientific environment is conducive to professional development for those anticipating a career in either a methodological research or a biomedical collaboration setting.

Requirements and Expectations: Ph.D. in statistics, biostatistics, or other related disciplines is required; strong interest, research background and experience in the methodology research in functional data analysis, longitudinal and survival analysis, machine learning; demonstrated evidence of excellent programming, collaboration, and communication skills.
