Position Description:    

The Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University invites applications for an open-rank, tenure-line position in the history of twentieth-century Southeast Asia and/or South Asia. Research and teaching interests may focus on any geographical area within Southeast or South Asia but specialization within the long twentieth century (roughly 1850-present) is preferred. The search committee welcomes applications from candidates at the full or associate professor rank as well as recent Ph.D.s and those who expect their Ph.D. by time of appointment. The teaching load is two courses per semester, and the successful candidate may teach at the undergraduate and graduate (M.A. and Ph.D.) levels.
