The Max
Planck/Harvard The Harvard University Department of Physics (HU)
and the Max Planck Institute of Quantum Optics (MPQ) seek
postdoctoral fellows for the
collaborative Max Planck/Harvard
Research Center for Quantum Optics (MPH-Quantum). Research and educational activities
take place in fundamental and applied fields in the quantum realm including
sensing, metrology, control, chemistry, many-body systems, and information
science. Further

invite applications for Postdoctoral Fellowships in Collaborative Quantum
Science. Fellowships are awarded for the duration of two years to
outstanding young scientists. The successful candidate will be based either at
Harvard or at MPQ, with the opportunity to take advantage of our unique cross-institutional
environment. Joint projects between Harvard and MPQ are encouraged. Applicants
should have completed their PhD no more than three years before starting the
fellowship. The start date is flexible, but should be within a year of
application. To apply, submit a curriculum vitae, a list of publications, and a
brief description of research interests and goals (description not to exceed 500
words). Applicants should also arrange for three letters of reference. All

will be considered on a rolling basis, beginning November
15, 2018. Please submit all materials by November 30, 2018. Applicants
