Assistant Professor Position in Chemical Engineering:

The Department of Chemical & Environmental Engineering at The University of Arizona (UA) invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in chemical engineering. We seek interdisciplinary scholars capable of developing a vibrant research program and teaching undergraduate and graduate level courses in chemical engineering. All areas of research will be considered. The faculty member is expected to develop a strong research program. In addition, the faculty member will teach courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels and contribute to mentoring students, including those from underrepresented backgrounds. The faculty member will also participate in outreach and contribute to departmental, college, and university service, as well as the profession. In these and other ways, the faculty member will help to develop innovative approaches to enhancing student engagement, increasing diversity, and expanding collaborations with community and business partners. Application review will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled. The anticipated start date is August 2019. A simultaneous search with the same timeline is being conducted for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in environmental engineering.
