The College of Arts & Sciences at Cornell University welcomes applications for a full-time faculty position for a distinguished senior scholar in sustainability with a focus on the environmental humanities and/or social sciences. This search is part of the Provost’s Initiative for Radical Collaboration in Sustainability to recruit a number of senior faculty in this area across the university, with a 50% responsibility to Cornell’s Atkinson Center for a Sustainable Future during the first 5 years of appointment. Candidates must be leaders in their field and have a demonstrated commitment toward working across disciplines to help change opinions, practices, products, or policies in the world, as well as a strong desire to engage in program building both inside and outside of Cornell. Research agendas identified as priorities include increasing food security, reducing climate risks, accelerating energy transitions, and achieving one health, though we seek broad and innovative thinkers in any area of sustainability.
