The particle and nuclear physics division at the Tsung-Dao Lee Institute (TDLI) in Shanghai, China (http://tdli.sjtu.edu.cn) invites applications for T. D. Lee Junior Fellow positions (tenure-track assistant professors at Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU)) in experimental and theoretical particle and nuclear physics and cosmology. The positions are open to researchers of any nationality, with highly competitive salary (comparable to the same level positions in USA), housing subsidy, and start-up grant.

The particle and nuclear physics division has three research groups working at frontiers of particle, nuclear physics and cosmology: the Underground Experimental Group, the Collider Experimental Group, and the Theory Group. The successful candidates are expected to carry out independent research projects within one of the groups, supervise students, and develop along the main research directions and engage in the major physics programs of TDLI.

TDLI, initiated by Prof. Tsung-Dao Lee (Nobel Prize in Physics 1957), is a newly established national research institute to host cutting‐edge research programs on most fundamental questions in particle physics, cosmology and quantum physics. The current director is Prof. Frank Wilczek (Nobel Prize in Physics 2004). SJTU is the contractor and trustee of TDLI and is in charge of the operation of TDLI. TDLI has an internationalized environment with English as its working language, and invites candidates of all nationalities.

The review of application will start on February 28, 2019.
