The Institute for Nuclear and Particle Physics (INPAC) at Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU), China invites applications for a postdoctoral researcher position to work on ATLAS experiment at LHC, CERN. We welcome highly motivated applicants who have obtained a Ph.D. degree or expect to receive one prior to starting the position in nuclear physics, particle physics, or a related field. The initial appointment is for 2 years with possible renewal based on mutual satisfaction. INPAC offers competitive compensation and benefits package including subsidized housing or living allowance. We also encourage and support promising candidates to apply for the prestigious "Tsung-Dao Lee Postdoctoral Fellowship" and “Chung-Yao Chao Postdoctoral Fellowship” for additional benefits. The candidate is expected to make major contributions to ATLAS Run2 data analysis related to Higgs physics and/or top quark physics, searches for new physics beyond the Standard Model, and also to participate in the Phase-I/II upgrade of ATLAS Muon Spectrometer and/or high granularity digital calorimeter R&D. Prior detector R&D experiences with muon detector and/or calorimeter will be advantageous.

INPAC (http://inpac.physics.sjtu.edu.cn/) has an international working environment and provides diversified culture experiences. It has about twenty faculty members and twenty postdoctoral fellows working on diverse areas of fundamental physics research in nuclear and particle physics. English is the working language at the institute. Non-Chinese-speaking candidates are welcome to apply.

Applicants should submit a CV, a brief research statement, a list of publications and at least three letters of recommendation to: Prof. Liang Li (liangliphy@sjtu.edu.cn) Prof. Haijun Yang (haijun.yang@sjtu.edu.cn) Please put “INPAC Postdoc” in the email subject to be identified.
