Like the idea of ‘advanced hindsight?’ Love data analysis? Live to write? You’ll want a postdoc position at Duke University’s Center for Advanced Hindsight led by Dan Ariely! 

We are looking for a researcher who wants not merely to publish great research, but wants to publish great research that matters. The Global Team at the Center for Advanced Hindsight is offering a unique opportunity to the right candidate to (a) analyze data from multiple randomized controlled trials, (b) write up the research for publication, and (c) shape the trials that we should do next. Our research program focuses on helping the underserved, such as helping the low income to save for healthcare and emergencies, and helping people to acquire healthy habits (https://advanced-hindsight.com/world-research/). We want someone who is statistically savvy and is keen to take the lead in writing top-flight academic journal articles using data we already have, and data that you think we should collect. It’s a plus if have research experience in one of the following areas:

● Habits
● Gamification 
● Self-experimentation 
● Social norms 

 The position will be hugely attractive to someone with a background in behavioral economics, psychology, or related field who has the commitment and skills to bolster their publication record. We want someone with advanced statistical skills and a demonstrated commitment to writing up research.  
The ideal candidate will be 
· Familiar with analyzing survey and experimental data, and can use not only standard techniques (e.g., ANOVA, multiple regression) but also undertake multilevel modeling and structural equation modeling of appropriate data. 
 · Willing, able, and happy to write up research for journals in behavioral economics, psychology, and related fields. 
· Keen to undertake translational research, and mechanistic studies that support such research. You will help forge impactful studies that make a difference to help people around the world to be healthier and wealthier and contribute to disciplinary knowledge. 

You would be part of the Global Team at the Center. The Center is housed in a purpose-built office suite in downtown Durham, NC. There are opportunities for international travel and collaborations with university and public and private sector partners, as well as a competitive postdoc remuneration package.
