Microbiology, Immunology/Inflammation, Mineralized Tissue Biology
The Forsyth Institute in Cambridge, MA, the world leader in oral and craniofacial research, seeks applications for one or more research-intensive positions in any of Forsyth’s three areas of research expertise: microbiology, immunology/inflammation, and mineralized tissue biology, particularly of dental and craniofacial structures. Applicants may work in any area, but a focus on oral health and research benefitting from interactions with members of the faculty is preferred. The successful candidate will be expected to develop or maintain an externally funded research program. An appointment through the Harvard School of Dental Medicine at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor will be commensurate with academic accomplishment. Forsyth provides a collaborative work environment, with many items of shared equipment and several core facilities, including a research clinic and a germ-free mouse facility.
We seek creative individuals who can maintain a cutting-edge research program and lead collaborative research projects. Qualified candidates will hold a PhD, DMD or equivalent, or MD, and will have completed postdoctoral training. Strong productivity reflected in an excellent publication record will be required. Candidates for all levels should have existing or pending funding commensurate with experience (K -type awards for junior faculty or R01 type funding for associate professor level). Successful candidates will receive a competitive start-up package and salary commensurate with experience.
