Position Description:    

The Master’s Program in the Pratt School of Engineering at Duke University (Durham, NC) invites applications for a Non Regular Rank Executive in Residence position. The Pratt School of Engineering is seeking a director to lead and manage a new Master of Engineering degree track focused on FinTech.

Successful candidates will be expected to: •Develop and oversee a world class interdisciplinary master’s program in FinTech •Manage the FinTech program operations and ensure operational excellence •Teach 2-3 courses each year within the FinTech curriculum •Collaborate across department and school boundaries •Identify and hire innovative faculty to teach a FinTech curriculum •Develop and deliver applications oriented courses related to FinTech •Connect and engage with industry partners regarding capstone projects, career opportunities, seminar discussions, and participation in an industrial advisory board

Ideal candidates would have FinTech experience in either an academic or corporate setting. They would also have a PhD or commensurate industry experience/expertise in a FinTech related discipline, such as Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Economics or Business, as well as teaching/course development experience. This position is expected to be full time, but other levels of commitment may be considered.
