Postdoctoral position available in the Department of Dermatology at Duke University Medical Center. We are seeking recent PhD graduates interested in epithelial biology and inflammatory skin disorders. We are particularly interested in understanding how regulation of cell signaling pathways and gene regulators in epidermal cells contributes to various skin defects, cancer, and inflammatory skin diseases including dermatitis and cutaneous graft-vs-host disease.The new postdoc will use both human and animal tissue models to explore the role of various signaling pathways in disease progression and treatment. Preferred applicants (PhD or MD/PhD)should have a strong interest in basic skin biology and diseases, enjoy teamwork, and have proficient communication and writing skills. Experience in molecular biology, immunology, bioinformatics, and animal studies is highly desired.
