Postdoctoral Position in MRI Analysis The Department of Radiology (Alexandra Badea), in collaboration with the Neurology Department (Carol Colton) have opened a postdoctoral position in preclinical MRI analysis, focused on Alzheimer’s Disease Animal Models.

Qualifications We are seeking candidates with: 1. Ph.D. in biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, physics or a related field. 2. Experience in image processing, statistical modeling, and machine learning. 3. Programming experience 4. Familiarity with research practices, ability to communicate well with interdisciplinary team members, and write manuscripts

Responsibilities: 1. Collaborate with existing team members on improving MR brain imaging protocols 2. Develop and optimize methods for image analysis in a high-performance computing environment, be willing to openly share code. 3. Develop predictive modelling approaches on multivariate data, dimensionality reduction and compression. 4. Summarize findings in presentations and manuscripts.

Appointment: The appointment will initially be for a 2 year period with opportunities for extension, contingent on renewed funding and performance.

Location: The successful candidate will be based at the Center for In Vivo Microcopy, which is a NIBIB National Resource dedicated to the development of novel preclinical imaging methods and application of those methods to interesting biomedical questions. The Center has three state of the art preclinical MRI systems and a visual informatics core dedicated to image reconstruction, post processing and analysis. We will integrate such data with behavior and genetics.
