Located in the scenic and vibrant Lehigh Valley, Lafayette College in Easton, PA, invites energetic and dynamic educators committed to developing students and positive communities to apply for the position of Director of Student Development. The Director of Student Development is an instrumental position in the development of strong community here at Lafayette by overseeing our proactive and reactive efforts in conduct affairs. Reporting to the Dean of Students, the Director of Student Development is a twelve-month full-time position that oversees all aspects of the Collegeâ€™s conduct system and actively collaborates with other key partners in the Division of Campus Life and the College. The Director of Student Development is expected to create and maintain a conduct system that strives to cultivate strong citizenship and helps provide students with space for reflection and structure as they enhance their decision-making abilities. The Director of Student Development has the opportunity to positively impact life on campus through robust outreach programs and overseeing a conduct system that shapes the decisions of students. The Director of Student Development is also a member of the Dean of Studentsâ€™ direct report group and engages in many partnerships with other campus leaders.

A Master's Degree in higher education administration, student personnel, counseling, or a related field is required, with at least six years of professional level experience with a pattern of increased responsibilities including four years in Conduct Affairs. Experience in a selective, residential, liberal arts institution is required, along with demonstrated success advocating for and with students, helping students learn through the conduct system, and collaborating with faculty.
