The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy invites applications for a position focused on rural community pharmacy advancement and health, at the rank of Assistant Professor - Clinical. The candidate will be a member of the Pharmacy Practice and Science Division and will be part of highly collaborative teams of faculty teaching in the Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences (BSPS) and PharmD curricula, conducting practice-based and education research, and innovating in pharmacy practice. The responsibilities of this position are to develop, implement, and teach general education courses in the BSPS program, contribute to courses in the new PharmD curriculum, precept PharmD students, and facilitate small group learning sessions in collaboration with the Ohio University Heritage College of Medicine. The candidate will provide direct patient care in a rural, independent community pharmacy in Athens, OH, Shriver’s Pharmacy. Candidates must demonstrate exceptional communication skills and a strong desire to be engaged in practice innovation, scholarly advancement in the area of rural health and primary care, and clinical education of current and future pharmacists. The successful candidate will also supervise pharmacy students, pharmacy practice residents, teaching assistants, and others as appropriate in teaching- and practice-related projects.
