A Postdoctoral Associate position is available in Professor George Truskey’s Lab Group in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Duke University. Seeking a highly motivated individual to work on a multi-disciplinary project to create disease models and lead to studies to examine effect of gene expression on inflammation in engineered microphysiological systems.
The qualified candidate will have experience with primary human cells or differentiation of induced pluripotent stem cells. Specific skills include cell culture, quantification of biological data, confocal microscopy, RT-PCR and Western blotting, familiarity with gene editing techniques, familiarity with statistical analysis of biological data, experience mentoring undergraduate and graduate students.
Education requirement: Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Engineering or related field.
