The School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at the Georgia Institute of Technology is one of the largest producers of electrical engineers and computer engineers in the United States. Almost 2,600 students are enrolled in the School’s graduate and undergraduate programs, and in the last academic year, 801 degrees were awarded. All ECE undergraduate and graduate programs are in the top six of the most recent college rankings by U.S. News & World Report.

The School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology invites applications for a non-tenure track teaching, 12-month position of lecturer, starting in Spring 2020.

Essential qualifications Master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or related field Familiar with industry software design practices

Desirable qualifications Experience teaching at the college level At least five years electrical or computer engineering industry experience Entrepreneurial experience

Responsibilities The primary responsibilities include teaching core undergraduate courses in ECE design and digital signal processing, interacting with students (e.g., lecturing, leading recitations, and holding office hours), and developing original course material and syllabi in line with the learning outcomes of courses (e.g., lecture materials, homework sets, projects, quizzes and exams). Other responsibilities include curriculum innovation and service activities, such as participation on school or campus committees.
