Position Description:    

The Big Ideas Lab in the Departments of Biomedical Engineering and Biostatistics & Bioinformatics invites applications for an outstanding interdisciplinary postdoctoral associate.

Areas of interest include biomedical data science, digital biomarker discovery, mobile health, and integration of multi-omics, electronic health records, and wearable sensor data to predict and prevent disease, with a focus on cardiometabolic health.

Candidates must have a PhD in computer science, statistics, mathematics, bioinformatics, bioengineering, or another related discipline. Required skills include computing (R, Python, Matlab etc.) and statistics. Familiarity with database management (SQL, Hadoop, etc.), cloud computing, and techniques for analyzing large biomedical datasets including machine learning for classification and regression problems, dimensionality reduction, and noise reduction are preferred. Experience with mobile app development is a bonus.
