The
Cornell SC Johnson College of Business invites applicants for a full-time
Senior Lecturer (5-year renewable term) position in our Marketing Area,
intended for placement in the Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of
Management, with a start date of July 1, 2020. The ideal candidate will possess a PhD in Marketing or related field, a record of outstanding MBA teaching at a top-30 MBA program, and an enthusiasm for teaching core and elective courses (esp. brand management, product management, new products, and marketing strategy) in the Marketing area. Although
the primary role for this position is teaching, the School expects
faculty
to participate in student and school events including case competitions,
student advising, etc. This faculty position is based in Ithaca, NY.
Most teaching will take place at the Ithaca campus, with the potential for some
teaching at the Cornell Tech or Weill Cornell Medical College campuses in New
York City. The Cornell SC Johnson College of Business
(established on July 1, 2016) combines three Schools. The Samuel Curtis Johnson
Graduate School of Management (Johnson), the Charles H. Dyson School of Applied
Economics and Management (Dyson), and the School of Hotel Administration (Hotel
School). Johnson offers MBA, Accelerated MBA, Executive MBA, and PhD
programs. Its MBA programs are
consistently ranked among the top-tier in the U.S. and globally. Current faculty members in the Marketing area
at the Johnson School include Khaled Boughanmi, Sachin Gupta, Vrinda Kadiyali, Soo Yeon Kim, Clarence Lee, Young-Hoon
Park, Vithala Rao, J. Edward Russo, Douglas Stayman, Manoj Thomas, Stijn van
Osselaer, and Kaitlin Woolley. This
group is expected to grow over the next several years and is currently
augmented by marketing faculty in the Johnson College of Business, of which the
