We seek outstanding applicants in Sociocultural Anthropology. An emphasis on one or more of the following areas would be desirable: political and/or economic anthropology; medical anthropology; environmental anthropology; psychological anthropology; public and/or applied anthropology; and visual anthropology. Yale-NUS students represent over sixty nationalities and are among the best in the world.

The appointee will be expected to start at the 2020-2021 academic year. Faculty receive salaries that are on par with the most prestigious liberal arts colleges in the world and commensurate with the cost of living in Singapore. They also receive generous research leaves, a substantial start-up grant, and a yearly travel and research allowance; additional funding is possible from Yale-NUS, the National University of Singapore, and Singapore’s Ministry of Education. The College provides institutional assistance with proposal preparation and administration of external grant funding.
