Position Description:    

The Department of Political Science at Duke University invites applications for a tenure track assistant professor in the field of Security, Peace, and Conflict to begin in July or August 2020. The search is not restricted to any particular topics within security, peace, and conflict. We are seeking candidates with expertise in the areas of international security/foreign policy/conflict, domestic conflict/security, and/or non-traditional security concerns, such as international migration, crime, human rights, and the environment. Candidates should have potential for excellence in teaching and research at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Successful candidates will be expected to have completed the Ph.D. no later than July 1, 2020.

Applicants should submit a letter of interest describing their research agenda, a curriculum vitae, graduate school transcripts, a writing sample, evidence of teaching excellence, and three letters of recommendation.
