The Physics Department invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position, with teaching duties starting September 2020. A more senior appointment may be possible in exceptional circumstances. We seek an energetic individual eager to teach throughout the undergraduate curriculum and to involve undergraduates in research with a theoretical or computational focus. Startup funds will be available. 

The department has nine full-time members and graduates approximately 16 physics majors annually, the majority of whom pursue advanced study or careers in physics or some related field. Present research areas include experimental atomic physics, particle physics, and hard and soft condensed matter as well as theoretical biophysics, particle physics, and quantum information.
