The School of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, invites applications for a tenure-track position in Theoretical Particle Physics. The appointment is expected to be at the Assistant Professor level. Candidates are expected to hold a Ph.D. in physics and should have demonstrated the potential to conduct a vigorous and significant research program as evidenced by their publication record and supporting letters from recognized leaders in the field. The ability to teach physics effectively at both the graduate and undergraduate levels is required. The candidate should be dedicated to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment, and should be committed to working well with others.

The University of Minnesota has a strong and well-supported theoretical particle physics group pursuing topics in field theory, phenomenology, astroparticle physics and cosmology. Applications are encouraged from researchers working in any of these areas. The School of Physics and Astronomy also hosts the Fine Theoretical Physics Institute and the Minnesota Institute for Astrophysics. The start date for this position is negotiable and could be as early as August 31, 2020.
