The Theory Department of TRIUMF, Canada's particle accelerator centre, is currently accepting applications for the Richard E. Taylor Postdoctoral Fellow, a joint postdoctoral appointment with the Institute for Nuclear Theory (INT) at the University of Washington. This joint fellowship is intended to span a 4-year term, with the first two years spent at the INT as postdoctoral scholar followed by a 2-year term at TRIUMF as postdoctoral fellow. The postdoc will engage in forefront research in nuclear theory or related areas in nuclear astrophysics and fundamental symmetries and will foster research collaboration between TRIUMF and INT. The postdoc will have the opportunity to work with undergraduate and graduate students and is expected to:

• Pursue research and publishing in pre-eminent scientific journals

• Participate in local seminars and schools, and representing TRIUMF and INT at international conferences

• Engage experimentalists at TRIUMF facilities such as ISAC and ARIEL.

Applicants must demonstrate a broad knowledge of theoretical physics, expertise in theoretical methods employed in nuclear and quantum many body physics and possess strong verbal and written communication skills. Qualifications include a PhD in nuclear physics, awarded within the past three years, combined with an outstanding record of publication and presentations.
