The Theoretical Particle Physics group at Carleton University anticipates filling one or more three-year Postdoctoral Fellow or Research Associate positions to start in the Fall of 2020, with the third year conditional on performance and funding availability. We are seeking candidates with research experience in collider phenomenology and/or model-building and/or astroparticle physics.

The Theoretical Particle Physics group consists of six faculty members: B. Campbell, S. Godfrey, T. Gregoire, H. Logan, D. Stolarski, and Y. Zhang. We will also have three continuing postdocs in addition to the advertised position. The main interest of the theory group is particle physics phenomenology. Most recently, members of the group have worked on Higgs phenomenology, physics beyond the Standard Model as can be studied at the LHC and future colliders, astroparticle physics related to dark matter, neutrinos and mechanisms for baryogenesis, as well as aspects of hadron physics.

Carleton University also has a strong experimental particle physics group whose members are involved in the ATLAS detector collaboration at the LHC, and dark matter and neutrino experiments at the SNOLab facility.

Applications should include a CV, a list of publications, and a description of research interests. In addition, applicants should arrange to have letters of recommendation submitted from three physicists who know their work well. Applications and recommendations should be submitted through If you have questions, please contact:
