The Robinson College of Business (RCB) of Georgia State University (GSU) and the Department of Finance invites applications and nominations for a Lecturer in Finance (non-tenure track) position beginning in Fall 2020. Appointment is renewable annually, but is not limited in duration. Candidates must have a master’s or doctorate degree from an AACSB-accredited institution (or similarly accredited international university) and demonstrated capability to engage in high-level classroom instruction. Also desirable is successful experience in the professional community. 

Direct responsibilities entailed in the position include: 

Teaching

The objective of the teaching role is to provide students with a deeper understanding of the application of finance to business practice and decision-making. The successful candidate will be adept at instructing a broad spectrum of students including undergraduate and graduate students.  

Student Engagement 

The successful candidate will mentor students and support departmental activities including student case competitions and other extracurricular activities. 

Business Relation Building

The RCB’s strategic plan challenges us to aspire to the vision “No one gets closer to business than Robinson.” The successful candidate will assist with bringing the faculty, staff and students together with the business community for mutual benefit.
