The Department of Physiology & Neurobiology at the University of Connecticut seeks to fill a full-time faculty position at the Stamford Campus. This position is for a Visiting Assistant Professor, on a one-year contract.

The Department of Physiology & Neurobiology, consistent with the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences and the entire UConn community, has an overriding commitment to diversity as a core value and basic tenet. The regional campus at Stamford is at the center of a robust business community and energizing city. The successful candidate will teach six undergraduate courses per academic year, or the equivalent.  Other potential responsibilities include advising undergraduate majors and outreach activities for the Biological Sciences majors at the Stamford Campus.


Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Biology, Physiology or related field conferred by August 23, 2020, a commitment to excellence in teaching, and experience mentoring undergraduate students.


Preferred qualifications include the ability to contribute to the diversity and excellence of the learning experience, teaching expertise in introductory biology and physiology that complements that of current faculty, and experience and interest in working with diverse communities within an urban campus setting.


This a full-time, 9-month, non-tenure track position at the Stamford Campus. This position has an anticipated start date of August 23, 2020 and termination date of May 25, 2021. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
