The Henriquez lab is seeking applicants who hold an MS degree in Biomedical Engineering or other directly related scientific field. This is a short term position to gather results for an ongoing research project. The primary responsibilities for this position are to 1) reconstruct activation patterns from clinical data and 2) perform simulations of cardiac electrophysiology using custom software tools. Applicants must have a background in cardiac modeling be proficient in MATLAB for data analysis.

Specific duties:

1)Use clinical electrogram data and electrode locations to reconstruct patterns of activation and compute conduction velocities in patients with AF.

2)Using FEM tools to build patient specific geometries of the atria and to modify the electrical properties of the model to best fit patient data.

3)Generate figures and tables for dissemination of results through papers.

4)Maintain accurate records of results, and interpretation.

5)Work with other research staff, students or personnel in laboratory techniques and procedures as required, and perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
