The Department of Linguistics seeks to hire a Teaching Associate in American Sign Language (ASL). This is a full-time, two-year appointment with the possibility of reappointment contingent upon a successful review and continuing needs.

The Teaching Associate will teach four classes each semester. Successful candidates will have the ability to teach various levels of language course sections and assist with course development, student consultations, test administration and grading, using technology to enhance learning, and other teaching-related duties.

Candidates - must possess a BA or equivalent and native or near native level fluency in ASL. - Master's Degree in ASL or related field and a minimum of two years teaching experience in a university preferred.

Appointment will be a full-time, two-year appointment, with possible renewal based on need and funding.
